AT Journeys magazine published the story of my Appalachian Trail experience in their Fall edition! I got a three-page spread with tons of pictures from our trip. So exciting!
I am beyond thankful to the staff at the AT Conservancy in West Virginia for asking me to contribute.

Backpacker magazine ran a story of mine for their January 2017 edition, and it came today! (You can see a picture of my excited self with the magazine here.) This summer, my family and I drove over 500 miles to walk a 1.3-mile stretch of the Appalachian Trail, and I documented our story afterward. A version of this story was included in their piece “2017 Thru-Hiker Awards.” We won “Best Reason for a Road Trip.”
This is my first publication, and I am thrilled. 🙂 Very thankful to the editors at Backpacker for taking a chance on me.

I was chosen as a finalist for #FicFest! This writing contest lets me work one-on-one with author RuthAnne Snow for eight weeks, revising my manuscript and query letter, preparing both for agent eyes. I’m so excited!
